Matt Purgahn (Hogan Flight) was "Up for the Srixon Challenge". Winning his prospective flight playing a Srixon ball, he will get a dozen sent to him for the win. Gene Hanley picked up the Tournament Champion Trophy, presented by Carlisle's Engraving with a net - 6. The winner of the Feherty's Troops First Foundation 50/50 raffle, took home $190, bringing the year to date total from the Texas Tour local events to $7,920 contributed to the Foundation.
RESULTS:
Championship: 19 year old, Skyler Young, of Austin, TX, took six strokes off his final nine to win in his first event on tour. Charlie Dial, also playing out of Austin, TX, self promoted himself to the Championship Flight, finished in the runner up spot.
Palmer Flight: Struggling on his front nine, Johnny Liguez, came to the clubhouse with a - 2, 34 to take the championship, his first on tour. Two strokes back, Killeen, TX, member Derrick Matthews grabbed the second place points with Eric Bates, of Austin, TX, rounding out the top three.
Hogan Flight: Jorge Rodriguez, unsure of the definition of a Quarry, landed in a penalty situation, opening the door for Matt Purgahn of Orange, TX, to take the Championship, his second in three attempts. Rodriguez, finished in the runner up spot with Nick Bravo of Austin, TX, taking the show place finish.
Senior Hogan Flight: Jerry Smith of Salado, TX, with limited play the last few years, landed his first win on tour by a single stroke. San Antonio, TX, player Paul Weurdeman, with three birdies on the day took home the runner up honors with a pair of players on his heels. Allan Collier of Dripping Springs, TX, and Pflugerville, TX, resident, Kenny Mire finished one stroke back sharing the third place finish.
Sarazen Flight: Austin, TX, member, Les Costales, picked up his first win on the season with the help of two birdies clearing runner up finisher Jim Puckett of Leander, TX by two strokes. Daniel McGrath, off the tour for some time, came back to card the third place honors, three strokes out of the winners circle.
Jones Flight: Five extra holes, that's what it took for Drew Neubauer of Austin, TX, to snatch his first win on tour. The pair of Neubauer and Dallas Tour member, Larry Tolson of Fairview, TX, required extra holes to settle the score. Circling the 8th and 9th holes it took five frames for Neubauer to finally prevail. New Braunfels, TX, player Gregg Singhaus, took home the third place finish one stroke out of the playoff.
Snead Flight: Mark Colwell, of Selma, TX, used a birdie on the par 4 - 9th to set his back nine up for his third championship of the year. Dallas tour player, Douglas Pritchett, of Fort Worth, finished in the runner up spot, with Georgetown, TX, local Dwain Smith rounding out the top three.

Upcoming Texas Events:
Members from around the country will take on the Houston Open Major Championship, on June 25th and 26th, with a special Friday, Prelude event at Pecan Grove Plantation Country Club. While the Houston Open is sold out and closed for registration the Prelude event has some spots available, with the entry deadline, Friday, June 17th at 11:59 PM EST.
Dallas Tour players, back to chasing points at Southern Oaks on the Fourth of July weekend for the Battle at Burleson. Registration closes on Friday, June 24th.
