USGA Handicaps

How many of you have entered rounds in your USGA handicap where you used mulligans, gimmes, and failed to play a shot out of bounds as stroke and distance? Does it really help you when you do that? The answer is no. It artificially lowers your handicap and you could be giving strokes to players who are better than you.

Texas Shootout at Redston

The Texas Masters at TPC San Antonio has long been full and the wait list is so large, they are not taking any more names on it. If fact, 5 of the 15 remaining Majors look to be full. Don't miss out on another Major, register now. The Texas Shootout at Redstone in August still has openings, but I would bet that it will be full by the first week in June.

Mr. Nelson Open

For those of you who could not make the Mr. Nelson Open at Riverhill, you missed a gem of a course. I heard nothing but accolades about the course and the greens. Hopefully, we will be able to schedule it for next year.
