Summer Series Underway - Clash @ Twin Rivers - Waco

Dallas 5 - Hill Country 5

Scott R Chilcutt, May 19, 2012 (Waco, TX)  The Summer Series, a points race that brings into play just another National Championship Qualification method, started with the Dallas / Hill Country Clash in Waco at Twin Rivers Golf Club.  The Clash a jointly promoted event between the Dallas Tour and the Hill Country Tour brought travelers from both directions.

Twin Rivers, the home of the Baylor University Golf Teams, is nestled along the tail waters of the Central Texas whitewater rafting locale of the Middle Bosque River.  The course was designed by PGA Professional Peter Jacobson and Jim Hardy along the central Texas rolling hills and allows the natural terrain and winds to play havoc on scores.

The Clash brought travelers from both directions.  Final tally - Dallas - 5 flight winners,  Hill Country - 5 flight winners.  Leonard Linkes from San Antonio, TX won the Tournament Champion Trophy, presented by Labor Finders in a scorecard playoff over Aaron Seafous from Austin, TX.
